CyberPDX is a 5-day residential camp to introduce cybersecurity principles, policies, and careers through a curriculum that integrates programming, cryptography, technology, law/ethics, film, and filmmaking. Instruction is interdisciplinary, taught by faculty from Computer Science, Engineering, Sociology, Film Studies, and University Honors.
CyberPDX 2017 will be Monday, July 10 - Friday 14 at Portland State University. We will host 10 teams of 6 students and 2 teachers from Oregon and Washington high schools.
CyberPDX curriculum aims to show students how to learn. They attend lectures and demonstrations to prepare for challenging projects that call on them to work cooperatively against deadlines. Teachers come to observe in order to gain knowledge of cyber and how their students learn it that they can use in a range of courses including language arts, digital media, math, and photography.
