CyberPDX is a 5-day professional development camp for middle and high school teachers.
We introduce cybersecurity skills, principles, policies, and careers through a curriculum that integrates programming, cryptography, law/policy, literature, and the arts. We are an interdisciplinary program, linking STEM with the Humanities and Social Sciences.
We are open to teachers who work in any and all subject areas! Our interdisciplinary approach seeks to raise interest in cybersecurity and help teachers (and their future students) identify with the diversity of cybersecurity careers available.
While we hosted combination student-teacher camps for 5 years, since 2019, we are a teacher-only program.
Applications for the 2020 camp will open soon. We anticipate running our first pre-camp workshop remotely, but are currently optimistic about an in-person camp in July. We will keep you up to date if/when plans change.
